I busted out of town on Thursday. I headed home (Mcallen) to participate in the wedding of a good friend. I took my roadie thinking I would escape the rain forecast for Austin.
Note: The coolest way of picking up a rental car is going on a bmx, and throwing that boy in the trunk when you get there.
Also note: That yogurt place across from Dirty Martin's is bomb.
So then. Driving usually sucks. I hate city driving, but put me on the highway with my music for 5 hours, and I'll be content.
I got home in the evening. The rain had followed me the entire way.
Drank some beer, ate some food, and woke up with wet pavement.
My mom has some sick ass flowers
And some pretty neat critters too.
Friday:
I am familiar with the rehearsal and the subsequent rehearsal dinner. Unfortunately for me, I didn't expect the dinner to be at such a nice place.
Time to do some shopping...
I'd much rather be doing my shopping in the BTI and QBP catalogs.
Now that I was all sexified, time for rehearsal and dinner.
Rehearsal was fun. Its good to see how much people change, and how others do not.
Thats a nice groomsman gift!
Saturday rolls around and I needed a good lunch, so I went to Mexico with my adoptive Greek family.
Do we have Huns and/or Mongols south of the border now?
Now were talkin'
I've been going to the same stand for about 6 years now. Lonches. Mmmmm.
After lunch, time to hunt down some candies and a fine bottle of Don Julio Reposado.
Good stuff!
Saturday afternoon. Time to put on the costume.
I did my part.
I drank. I ate. I drank. I walked. I stood. I walked. I drank.
The reception was, in a word, BALLER.
Excellent, varied and huge amounts of food/drink.
The highlight would be the bottle of Jose Quervo Family Reserve.
My friend had some prototype Pearl Izumi dress socks
